Inaugural OCBC Singapore Cycling Challenge

Members of our cycling group took part in the OCBC Singapore Cycling Challenge and all of us registered for the 40km Challenge.

Some of us were a bit nervous as this is their first major competition. Even some of our veterans were slightly nervous. Our most "Enthusiastic Member" even need to go to the loo a few time just before flag off.

We met at an agreed designated car park at 6.00am and took about 5 mintues to cycle to the F1 Building. By then quite a lot of cyclist were already there and the 50km Super Challenge had already started.

After an hour or so of nervously waiting, the organiser announced for the 40km challenge to get ready and to move to the starting area. Over there we were also able to see the 50km Super Challenge coming in the finishing line.

I must say that all our members did very well overall and much better in their own age group category. All our member did not stop and went all the way from start to finish. Well done guys.

Cycling At Batam - Chinese New Year

During this Chinese New Year, some member of the group decided to go to Batam and have a cycling break.

They stayed at the beautiful Seaside Villa at Batam View Resort for 2 nights and cycle both days.

Upon reaching there they cycled straight from the jetty towards the first bridge. All in they clock a total of about 128km.

Well done guys. We hope that the next trip more can join the ride.
