Yes!!! We have been cycling as group for 10 years!
To commemorate our 10th anniversary, Victor organised a 3 days 2 nights ride in Bintan.

Day 1
By the time we start our ride it is already 10 am local time, which is 11 am Singapore time. It was very hot by then and before long from the jetty, we encountered the start of many climbs along the route. The heat plus the fact that we have not yet warmed up made the climbs more challenging. Nevertheless, we pressed on and were glad when we reached our lunch spot.

After refueling and some rest, we resumed our journey to our resort where we will stay for 2 nights. The unrelenting heat and the hilly terrain continued to make our ride challenging.

The first night we had a sumptuous seafood dinner cooked by Ms Lim.

After the nice dinner, we hit the sack for some rest and got ready for a longer ride on day 2.

Day 2 was also very hot and there were more climbs. However when we break for lunch, dark cloud started to form. Luckily we were having our lunch when the sky opened up and poured heavily.

When the rain stopped, we continue our journey back. The road was very wet and at certain areas very dirty.

The second night we had barbecue dinner with whisky and wine.

Day 3 is just relaxing and exploring the rest of the beautiful resort.

Thanks to Victor and Chee Hwee who volunteered to stay with the bikes to ensure they are loaded up nicely and transported to the jetty.
The rest of us did a tour of the town and went for a good lunch at Lagoi before heading to the jetty for our ferry ride home.

Another successful and enjoyable ride.
We are thankful that everything went smoothly without any incidents or any mechanical issues.
A word of thanks to Victor and Cathy for organising this trip and everyone for the participation. Looking forward to the next overseas ride.
Most likely we will make another trip to Bintan when the durians are in season.
